HOME CREDIT launch “BLOSSOMING BUD” fund valued 1 billion VND

On 19th of February, Home Credit Vietnam and the Institute for Educational Researches (IER) held a function to announce “Blossoming Buds” Fund with the total value of VND1 billion for workers’ kids under ages for kindergarten from industrial parks and export processing zones in HCMC and Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces.

On 19th of February, Home Credit Vietnam and the Institute for Educational Researches (IER) held a function to announce “Blossoming Buds” Fund with the total value of VND1 billion for workers’ kids under ages for kindergarten from industrial parks and export processing zones in HCMC and Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces.

The organizers will hand totally 1,000 scholarships worth VND1 million each to workers having young children aged from six months old to five years old in the three localities. In details, 350 scholarships will be handed in HCMC through support of HCMC Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority (HEPZA), 325 scholarships in Dong Nai Province through support of Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority (DIZA) and 325 scholarships in Binh Duong Province through support of Binh Duong Industrial Zones Authority (BDIZA). Handing-over ceremonies will be held in these localities in April and May this year.  

Friedrich Weiss, general director of Home Credit Vietnam – sponsor of “Blossoming Buds” Fund, said: “Local press have raised strong voices about recent children violence cases in nurseries. Competent authorities have also had suitable reactions. In the situation, Home Credit decided to commit VND1 billion in 2014 for workers’ children under ages for kindergarten. As an initial plan, we sponsor VND1 billion for 1,000 households in need. In the second year, we will expand the program as we will receive supports from partners and our big staff.”

As part of “Blossoming Buds” Fund, Home Credit and IER work together to organize talks or workshops about how to take care of children, to understand children, to know whether children suffer violence, etc. with the participation of workers who are parents in HCMC, Binh Duong and Dong Nai. Leading education experts will be invited to join in these events. This activity will also be combined with the sales department with the aim of providing more advice and knowledge of consumer lending products for those workers in industrial parks and export processing zones.
